mushroom production – part I

After the inoculation of acacia logs with our fungus, Agrocybe aegerita, I wanted to maintain and multiply the inoculums, in case things don’t go as planned in the first experiment.

Due to my busy schedule, I didn’t have time to properly take care of my fungus. So I left them growing where they were, in little pieces of wood and seeds, in moist conditions and at room temperature.

After 10 days, the mycelium growth has evident and there were some little mushrooms. It was time to start the second trial.
